Success In Lily Dale, New York!!!

July 22, 2010

I’m back triumphant from a fabulous weekend appearance in Lily Dale, New York! Since 1879 The Lily Dale Assembly has been known for it’s world-renowned summer program, which I was honoured to be invited to take part in. I co-presented the workshop Spiritual Dowsing/Divining, as well as providing visitors readings as a special guest Medium in The Maplewood Hotel. Borrowing the phrase actress Sally Field said one year at The Oscars… “They liked me, they really liked me!”

Workshop attendees are asked to fill out evaluation forms and I’m proud to report “excellent ratings” as well as comments such as: “This was a fun and informative workshop! Best demonstration of divining etc. I have ever seen and I have been to a lot of workshops.” “High energy – very informative and lots of fun!” “Excellent workshop!” “Wonderful workshop!” And…”more trainings from her on different things.” Pretty good comments, if I do say so myself. Thanks to all those who attended and came up to me afterwards with their enthusiastic words of praise. It truly was my pleasure to be there… Lily Dale is a magical place.

My mediumship readings were also extremely well-received… high praise indeed, considering Lily Dale is home to many wonderful Mediums. Other guest speakers, Mediums there have included Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Allison DuBois, John Edward and James Van Praagh. Pretty fine company to be in!

The day after my return, the HBO documentary on Lily Dale aired (I’d been asked by producers to appear in the special, but didn’t in the end due to scheduling conflicts) to a great response. Yay Lily Dale! Perhaps now Canadian folks won’t ask…”Lily Dale, you mean like the chicken?!” quite so often.

Thanks for having me Lily Dale Assembly, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there!

LILY DALE, N.Y… Here I Come!!!

June 27, 2010

It’s arrived!! The time I’ve been eagerly awaiting since getting the news on Halloween (an auspicious date, to be sure!). What news , you ask? Well, just the phone call to announce that I’d been chosen to speak and appear as a special guest Medium at the largest centre for Spiritual and paranormal development IN THE WORLD! No biggie. Laugh. Perhaps if I could convince myself that it wasn’t the big deal I know it to be, I’d be less nervous, as I continue preparing for the most important seminar of my career to date. Not usually prone to nerves, as I’ve been a professional inspirational speaker for awhile now, but this isn’t just any old place – it’s the world renowned Lily Dale Assembly in Lily Dale, New York. And no, that’s not like the chicken of the same name.

The Lily Dale complex was established in 1879 and has remained since then, the premier centre for everything Spiritual, paranormal, metaphysical and inspirational. It’s known around the world… yikes! How did I ever get myself into this! Actually, all kidding aside, it is with great honour and gratitude that I will be speaking there this Friday July 2, 2010, presenting a workshop on Spiritual Dowsing and Divining with U.S. paranormal investigator Tim Vodopivec in The Assembly Hall from 1-4 pm. Be there or be square!! We’ll be teaching everything you need to know about the use of  the Divination tools known as dowsing rods and penduluums.

Some of the country’s biggest and best have spoken at Lily Dale, including Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Deepak Chopra, my mentor, the great Allison DuBois, real-life inspiration for the hit television show MEDIUM and the person who suggested I go to Lily Dale in the first place, John Edward, James Van Praagh (Executive producer of the show GHOST WHISPERER), paranormal investigators Jason and Grant of the TV show TAPS. I could go on, but you get the idea. Okay, just reading these names over, I’m giving myself the jitters again, so I’m gonna wrap it up and get back to work.

I’ve also been given the priveledge of appearing as a special guest Medium, giving readings in The Maplewood Hotel on the Lily Dale grounds the following day, Saturday July 3 and Sunday July 4, if the line-ups are long enough! Smile. Appointments can be made to see me in both my seminar and at The Maplewood Hotel’s front desk. See you there!

Blessings and light,

Potatoes And Peanuts – The Lengths Spirits Go To.

May 28, 2010

First off, my apologies dear readers for the length of time between posts… my bad. I was intensely focused on the advice column I was writing for a month as part of Sun Media and Canoe’s contest. Nope, didn’t win, but in life I’ve found it’s the things you don’t do that bring regrets, not the ones that fall under… “nothing ventured, nothing gained”. I’m rather proud of myself for the effort and thankful to all those who called me “a natural” when it comes to giving advice in column format. As a medium, positivity coach and speaker, my job often involves providing guidance along the paths of life, as well as bridging communication between our world and the Other Side. This true story falls under the latter category.

Spirit folks can and do go to extraordinary lengths to let their living loved ones know they are still with them. They continue to help us in our lives and they love us, even through the glass that seperates our two worlds. It’s not really a glass partition, but I use this analogy to explain to clients how their deceased relatives are waving and trying to get their attention… but they can’t see them on the other side of this mystical divide. In order to reach us, spirits will cause things to happen to facilitate communication. One day I went out for my usual walk along the beltline near my home. Suddenly an old friend who I’d lost touch with ten years ago, rode past me on his bike. He stopped. I stopped and we caught up on old times. Promising to get together soon, we both went our seperate ways. As often happens when intentions don’t match actions, we never did do lunch. But I was soon to discover that this was no ordinary “chance meeting”.  About a month later, we passed again on the same beltline, Peter on his bike, me on foot. We stopped briefly to say hi, again with discussions of lunch, including his mom, who had asked about me recently. I really like Petey’s (as I used to call him) mom, so was looking forward to it.  Again never happened, though Peter admitted he’d dropped the ball that time. We bumped into each other no less than two more times (four total for those keeping track!) on the same beltline and by now I knew that this was happening for a reason. I’d expressed that to my found-again friend, even telling him what I do for a living, but he’s a brilliant song writer who’s pretty busy. When it happened again this past Monday – I’d stopped to tie my shoe and he nearly ran me over, this time I wasn’t letting him go without a longer chat. Forces were working awfully hard to get us together!

As we walked, his dad suddenly came through strongly, telling me “his father, I’m his father”. Upon asking, sure enough Peter’s father had passed. Now I was certain who had been orchestrating our paths crossing. Peter told me that strangely, he’d had a sudden urge to stop mowing the lawn halfway through and go for a ride. The next thing his dad told me was potatoes and peanuts. “Does this mean something to you”, I asked Petey. “Yes”, he said, “they were my dad’s favourite things to eat.”  The night before I’d been at a pool party, where I kept hearing the words potatoes and peanuts in my head. As well as race car driver. Peter’s dad is a very strong, insistent spirit who was identifying himself to me a full 24 hours before I’d “bump” into his son again. Yup, he used to race cars and in fact had a stern warning for Peter to slow down while driving. That made his son laugh, recalling to me an event they spent in the car together years before… those who know Peter will understand this warning – he’s a bit lead-footed.

Dad gave me many other accurate messages and details, including a thumbs up for an upcoming big music break for his son. Peter called me yesterday to tell me he just got the good news I predicted.  There were also messages sent for Peter’s mom from her husband, which meant a great deal to her when he passed them on. The details I gave provided proof that dad was still with them, as their accuracy was undeniable. Dad even made me clap wildly and wave my arms at the end of our impromptu reading. A thing in their family was always to clap wildly, especially dad, for sometimes no reason at all. And Peter tells me his father had a goofy sense of humour… which is why he made me wave my arms madly and act like a goof. I didn’t mind, even though we were now on the sidewalk of a busy street. This spirit loves his son and moved mountains, or rather bikes and feet, to talk with his child one last time.

Lemonade And Other Things To Be Grateful For.

April 26, 2010

Recent events have  me pondering the concept of turning life’s lemons into lemonade.  As a psychic medium I provide readings to clients either individually, in group/party events or by telephone.  I love helping to make a difference in people’s lives, giving  peace and closure gained by communication with their deceased relatives… evidence that loved ones have not left them, they are never truly alone. Messages guide folks along their path with suggestions and encouragement and most that I see are gracious with their gratitude. I give a lot of myself when channelling in this way and I’m more than happy to do it. Sometimes though, I’m not given the respect that my time and efforts deserve. Thankfully, these occurences are rare. A woman came to me interested in what I do but unsure if she was ready for a reading.  Just prior, while seeing a lovely young lady, I was given the names of two spirits. Since they were unfamiliar to her, I knew they belonged to another of the guests waiting to see me. This happens, where a deceased person is so anxious to speak with their relative, that they jump in on someone else’s reading. I had the feeling the spirits belonged with the woman who was unsure about having a session, so I spoke with her and asked  about the two names. She did know them and excitedly said she would now like a reading. I told her my fee (she hadn’t been on my list of appointments) and proceeded to bring through no less than five relatives with significant messages. In fact, there were so many that wanted to speak, I ended up going way over the allotted time and it was a fantastic reading. I do that sometimes, feeling generosity is a positive energy that comes back to us magnified. Well as they say, no good deed goes unpunished! Because of the extra time given, another client couldn’t  see me, she had to drive a friend home from the event. And I discovered later, when being paid by the organizer, that the woman I’d given the stunning 5-spirit session to… had stiffed me, she hadn’t paid for her appointment! I was rather stunned, not to mention disappointed that someone would do that. If money was a problem I would have discounted my rate to help her.

Another lemon tossed my way left a sour taste in my mouth:  A reading I did for a skeptic that my guides and gut instinct had told me would not go well. As always, they were right. Prior to our appointment this sitter told me a story of meeting two well-known mediums who she was sure were nothing but fakes with a fancy TV show… THAT should have set off my warning bells but instead, I forged ahead. People with negativity produce blocked energy that makes reading them and their spirits  difficult, if not impossible. I did my best, but the messages were just not coming through clearly. Of course she wasted no time poking holes in my ability also. I stopped the reading, accepting no payment. Then a lovely blessing turned my lemons of the day into lemonade: my deceased mom sent a sign after my last reading of the day, which went extremely well, all things considered. As I was packing up to leave, a strong, clear smell of roses suddenly wafted around me… my mom’s favourite flower. There had been no scent in the room prior to this. She wanted to send me a little support and love. Thanks mom.

Today, on my walk along a tree-lined path there was a further reminder about gratitude… a man rode by me with his dog; not on a bike, but in a wheelchair-type scooter, faithful companion running alongside. Many folks on this route fail to scoop after their pets, but this gentleman, wheelchair and all, managed to clean up after his pooch.  I felt grateful as we passed each other that I have two healthy legs to carry me through life, a career I love, and my mom who still sends her love when I’m having a bad day. Remember dear readers, when life tosses you lemons… well, you know the rest. For some advice of the physical realm kind (non-spiritual, that is!) check out the School of Life, Canada’s Advice Columnist contest that I’ve entered at www.canoe.ca/advice  It would be a dream of mine to win, as well as allowing me to reach out to more of you. Wish me luck!

Lily Dale, N.Y: In Good Company!

April 3, 2010

My job as a psychic medium, healer, teacher, writer and speaker takes me to many wonderful international places, but none as full of history and magic as Lily Dale, New York. I’ll be appearing there this summer co-presenting a workshop and giving readings as a guest medium… I couldn’t be more thrilled! I’m super excited not only because Lily Dale’s summer program is world-renowned but because of the excellent company I’ll be in. This amazing energy centre with homes and architecture that harken back to previous centuries, like in a time warp, has also played host to some of this century’s most brilliant luminaries. This list of Spiritual, Inspirational speakers and mediums reads like a who’s who of world leaders in the metaphysical and healing fields. Names such as Dr. Wayne Dyer, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Doreen Virtue, Allison DuBois, (who told me of my strong healing energy, called me a kindergarten medium when we met and talked last May!) John Edward, Susan B. Anthony and James Van Praagh to name a few. Even the ghost hunters of  TAPS fame, Jason and Grant will be there this summer. Whew, no wonder I’m a little nervous about appearing there as a speaker/medium myself this July 2… that’s quite a cast to follow!! I am honoured to be among them, in some small way, and will hold on to the knowledge that getting me there was Divine Intervention at it’s best.

Many people in both our earth world and the Spirit world got together to facilitate my event July 2nd. and 3rd., of that I have no doubt. How do I know? Because many, many signs directed me along my path and reading those signs, as well as helping others to do so, is one of my favourite things to do as a psychic.  Signs such as Allison DuBois suggesting that I check the place out, even though it’s name made me ask… “Lily Dale, you mean like the chicken”? That’s just a Canadian thing, eh! The day I just “happened” to drop by their offices when the Assembly’s president came out to reception – allowing me the opportunity to discuss my giving a seminar there! Another committee member with the power to book me or not, sitting right beside me in a lecture of over 400 people packed in like sardines. Mere coincidence? I think not!! In fact, there are so many of these “coincidences” that happen to all of us, every day that I’ve decided to write a book about just that. I didn’t decide this alone, by the way… my Spirit guides and advisors TOLD ME that I needed to do this to get the word out about how they help us in our lives. And so I shall. More on that later, dear readers.

My weekend events in Lily Dale are this July 2-3, 2010. Details can be found on my website:  www.jadeintuitive.ca  Since opening in 1879 it has been the largest centre for spiritual and metaphysical studies in the world; it’s also a REALLY cool place to visit! I hope to see you all there.

Happy Passover, Easter to you.

Being A Psychic… It Ain’t Always Easy.

March 23, 2010

Today’s post will take a slightly different direction… being a psychic-medium ain’t always easy. Grammatical gurus please excuse my wording. It seems correct to say, like a throw-back to how cowboys talked in old western movies. Because some days I feel like the cowboy (or cowgirl) who just got thrown from the horse. I get back up of course, though a little bruised and worse for wear. Don’t get me wrong; I love what I do and I’m not complaining because every job has it’s downfalls and less than perfect days. It’s just that having a job where people either expect that you know everything, (like going into a store, chatting with the cashier and having a customer who overhears our conversation, asking me what “sign” he is and what is he currently thinking. By the way, I did get his correct astrological sign!) or  poking holes in the messages given from deceased loved ones, can be hard sometimes. I am a psychic-medium and healer, but I’m also human with feelings that can be hurt and I don’t know everything, far from it. I do what I do to help people, to provide peace and closure, to guide them on their path and hopefully uplift them in some small way. And I’m grateful and humbled by the fact that on almost all occassions, I am able to do just that. But there are those days…

I recently gave a psychic group reading event at the home of a spunky, terrific woman. The party provided many memorable, fantastic readings and moments. As at almost every event though, there’s one person who’s a skeptic, determined to “test” me at each turn, unwilling to confirm when the information given to me by their spirit loved ones is correct. I’m cool with people having a healthy skepticism and remain confident in the messages I’m delivering (confidence and belief has to come with the territory in order to communicate with the other side). What people often don’t understand is that negative thoughts act as an energy barrier, making it much more difficult for me to read their energy and that of the spirits around them. I’m providing readings for their benefit to allow those on the other side to express love and guidance. So refusing to coroborate key details only slows the process and diminishes the benefit of the reading for the client. Please be willing to confirm, you’ll reap so many more benefits. Then there are those folks who outright lie about the accuracy of the information I give to them. The messages are often very impactful and emotional and I get that. One such incident occurred this night as a deceased father gave me a message six ways from Sunday for his daughter, who simply sat there, arms crossed, refusing to be moved. Her father didn’t give up and neither did I! She eventually let her guard down and admitted just how many details I had in fact, gotten right. She even took me aside later to thank me and apologize, saying my level of accuracy shocked her, so she had lied to cover that. I appreciated her honesty and accepted her apology. Sometimes even my friends are wary of me, knowing I can read their energy, often their thoughts and worried I may see some embarrasing aspect of their lives. Occupational hazard!! Seriously though, while I do know when people are lying or covering up and can read exactly what’s going on with them, how they are feeling, regardless of what they tell me to the contrary, I do respect boundaries with my friends and loved ones. I mostly “turn off” my ability with them so we can be normal and comfortable with each other. That’s often why I don’t conduct readings with those close to me, although if I see something such as a warning or help I can provide, I always do so. This gift comes with great responsibility, a fact I am always keenly aware of.

Back to my psychic party… I was pleased to be able to give a warning to a pretty young woman, which came to me in great detail in a dream two nights before I met her. I was also given a wonderful compliment by someone who attended a previous group session with me and wanted to convey what a strongly positive white light energy she felt and saw around me that night. She told me the evening was unlike any she’d ever experienced and one that she would never forget. She didn’t at first know that I was the psychic she had come to see, until I delivered my pre-reading’s inspirational seminar. She told me of being  astounded that I was the same person with “the energy” she had felt even before entering the house. Bless her for telling me that. Because that is the reason I am following my path as a psychic-medium. It ain’t always easy, but I truly do feel lucky and blessed to have this career.

Unbelievable Uxbridge Update.

March 9, 2010

Uxbridge… I’m lovin’ it!! I spent another great weekend giving psychic-mediumship readings to a group of terrific women. There was one token male there… the hostess’ husband, who kindly lent his house for the event and even graciously thanked me afterwards for “making his wife happy”. What a lovely thing to say, I thought, a double-edged compliment. Me on one side, his charming wife on the other.

What I particularly liked about this day/evening party were the two skeptics, who left as believers. I’m fine with folks having a healthy skepticism and I rather enjoy their surprise as I deliver undeniably accurate information. They were both very good sports about it, one flying down the stairs after her reading excitedly asking to use the phone to call a living relative to discuss all the deceased relatives I’d brought through for her. The other, who at first wouldn’t give me an inch in confirming the accuracy of my information, ended up laughingly telling the hostess all the times I’d hit the bullseye… into the wee hours of the morning! I even got correct the exact dessert she had planned to bring to the party, but then didn’t. Sometimes the spirits who give me my info. do have a sense of humour! Lions and tigers and skeptics, oh my!

Other memorable moments were the two spirits who travelled up in my car with me, giving me their exact names as well as that of a third, living person. During the inspirational seminar I give to start off the party, I discovered that all three people, living and dead, belonged to one woman. When I gave her the names I’d been given during my drive, I thought she’d fall right out of her chair with surprise. Hey… I aim to please!

The psychic all-day party became a weekend in Uxbridge thanks again to my dear friends who open their home to me whenever I’m up that way. They feed me too, and rather well I must say. Thanks you two! A lovely brunch the next day with mutual friends completed the weekend. A special thank you also goes out to my funny, sweet, though dangerous party hostess. Why dangerous you ask? She has a black belt, she can kick my a _ _!  Seriously though, a truly fun time was had by all, myself included.

Thanks Uxbridge, you’re blossoming into my home away from home.

Psychic Weekend In Owen Sound.

February 18, 2010

I’ve just returned from an extraordinary weekend event of readings in Owen Sound and I can tell you the folks out that way ROCK! The lovely hostess planning this psychic party kept writing me the past few weeks wondering how we would accomodate all those interested in seeing me. I was flattered and recognized that an amazing Universe energy was pulling these people to me for a reason… so I told her not to turn anyone away. Originally I was only supposed to be giving one small inspirational speech and an afternoon of readings. If you build it, they will come! Or rather, if you put the word out and the energy connections are right, they will come.  One afternoon soon turned into an entire day and evening and finally into a two-day event! The wonderful hostess was worried about tiring me out with so many people, but I was exhilerated at the chance to give peace and guidance to such a large group.

The day started off with a new experience for me, giving a psychic-mediumship reading to a gentle physically challenged man in his truck. Readings can be given anywhere and this certainly proved that point. I was able to bring through good information for him… I hope he enjoyed it as much as I did. The day flowed from one hour to the next with mothers, grandmothers, aunts and other assorted spirit relatives coming through to communicate with their loved ones. When the authenticity of a message from the other side brought tears to many people’s eyes, I just smiled and quipped that I was like Barbara Walters in that respect. This happens often and I like to ease the moment for those people who may feel some embarrassment.

I’ve already had confirmation of a prediction I gave, with the daughter texting her dad while I was still there to inform him of my accuracy… that’s always gratifying to hear. Other notable moments include my own hair standing straight up from my head while the spirit energies swirled around me, (Uxbridge’s party host commented on the same thing…wild!) my violin playing, courtesy of a musical uncle and a fellow psychic sitter “seeing” my deceased mom standing beside me assisting, during her reading.

I was struck by how lovely all the women who attended were, and as always, I felt honoured and humbled to have this amazing career. Special thanks go out to the hosts of this weekend who went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and ensure that a wonderful time was had by all. Little touches like flowers, candles and lots of love infused a magical quality into the weekend. I want to convey a special thank you to Allison DuBois (the real woman behind the show MEDIUM) who told me my life would be very different on the one-year anniversary date of my mom’s passing. She was right. I devote this Owen Sound event to my mom who passed to the other side on Valentine’s Day, one year ago.

Blessings and light,

Super Psychic! A Jam-Packed Weekend.

January 27, 2010

This past weekend I had the pleasure of being a keynote speaker and the psychic/intuitive at a wellness convention for teachers. It was a terrific event and a great time was had by all!

The ski resort hosting the event was lovely, the food yummy, and the people I met, wonderful. I presented my seminar YOUR INNER HERO which I developed after rescuing a woman I found fallen on the ice two years ago. I developed the original INNER HERO seminar as a presentation for kids ranging in age from kindergarten through high school designed to inspire them to treat others with kindness, empathy and respect. It’s been very well-received as an anti-bullying message, piggy-backing the school board’s character development program. The adult version I presented this weekend (the teachers were there to refresh and relax… no kids allowed!) had a mind/body/spirit wellness theme, complete with stress-busting tips. They liked it, they really liked it!!

In the afternoon I provided intuitive and mediumship readings. There was such a huge response that I was told teachers had to draw names out of a hat as a fair way of determining who would see me. Wow! I was honoured to be considered a “prize” of sorts. When the final session was over, after nearly six hours of back-to-back readings I was elated, though admittedly rather tired. A fellow Medium, upon hearing of this feat, likened me to Superwoman. I don’t know about that… but perhaps the shoe of Superpsychic fits. In any case, I was honoured to bring through several spirits from the other side with impactful messages for their loved ones. My mission is to bring peace and closure to as many people as I can, both in our world and in the spirit world. I also like to inspire folks to live positively, help others and live the life they desire. I feel so good when I’m able to connect and help someone. It’s a boost to my soul and I learn new things with every reading I give… this weekend was no exception. A wonderful meant-to-be quality resonated throughout.

I’m off to have a nice cup of tea and further rest my voice. I talked for about fourteen hours straight on Saturday, a new record! Those who know me will get this inside joke.

Thanks for a great time ETFO!
